 Cristina Bowerman, MNM, CAE
Executive Director
Cristina joined the American Dental Therapy Association in December 2022 as its Executive Director. Before joining the ADTA, Cristina managed regional and local nonprofit organizations in the Pacific Northwest and the Southeastern United States. She has spent 29 years contributing to the organizational growth and financial sustainability of 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 organizations. She enjoys honing her skills in board governance, communications and marketing, fundraising, operational excellence, project and program development and management, process improvement, and volunteer management.
Cristina is an alumna of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her master's degree in Nonprofit Management and bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She also maintains certifications as an Interim Executive Director with the Third Sector Company and Certified Association Executive with the American Society of Association Executives.
She relocated to Tigard, Oregon, in 2019, where she serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Tigard and Treasurer for the Cultural Coalition of Washington County.

 Chelsea Luong
Communications Associate
Chelsea joined the American Dental Therapy Association April 2023 as its Communications Associate. Before joining ADTA, Chelsea worked at The Well, UC Riverside’s Health Education Department as Marketing Lead. She is passionate about marketing, social media management, public health promotion, and communications.
Chelsea graduated from University of California, Riverside where she earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management with an Organizational Behavior and Human Resources track.
She is excited to educate individuals about dental therapy and how it can improve oral health amongst underserved communities.
